I discovered this product almost 7 years ago now, just shortly before the pandemic hit. Bought it at Remedies Herb Shop in Brooklyn, it was my introduction to even tasting elderberry, and it blew me away. The only addiction I was ever proud to admit. So you can imagine my dismay when Remedies stopped selling it, and Lo and behold, the name of the company escaped me! This has been a years-long search of figuring out which farm made this product and I am beyond exuberant, elated, flabbergasted, floored, jawdropped and any other eccentric verb that exists to describe just how “speechless” I actually am lol. So happy to have found you. Hopefully within a month’s time I should be able to afford you again, because for the taste, the benefits, and the hunt, the price is more than worth my while. What is the shelf life of your products?
Our tinctures and elixirs are are best used within 3 years. Our balms and oil are best used within 2 years. Our creams and moisturizers are best used 6 months after opening. Using a scoop or wooden craft stick rather than your fingers will keep your cream fresh longer.
What are the particles in my tincture dropper?
Since we make all of our products with whole fresh and dried plants, there may be some small plant particles that remain in the tincture after straining. You may also see some of the concentrated constituents precipitated from the extraction process. Both are perfectly safe and are a sign of the potency and vitality of the extract.
What is the benefit of choosing a glycerite over a tincture?
Glycerites are herbal extracts made with a base of organic flaxseed glycerin. Glycerites are safe for all ages and a wonderful choice for children and those who prefer not to consume alcohol. Glycerin has a very low glycemic index score and is a delicious way to flavor drinks, smoothies and desserts.Â
Why do some of your tinctures taste sweet?
Some of our tincture formulas include herbal glycerites, which add delicious sweet medicine to the blend and balance other plant flavors.
Do I need to refrigerate my products?
None of our products need to be refrigerated. We recommend storing all herbal products in a cool dark place away from direct heat and light to help maintain freshness.
What is the best way to take a tincture?
For best bioavailability, tinctures are taken in a little warm water after or in between meals This will also dilute the taste and the alcohol. Our Better Bitters and other bitter tasting digestive formulas are best taken before meals to invigorate digestion.
Are any of your products suitable for children?
Our glycerites, teas, balms, creams, oils, and bug spray are safe for children when used as directed.
Can your formulas be taken together?
